Would all members please note that there will be an emergency meeting of Cardiff Rail Branch on Wednesday the 6th of January 2010 at the Sandringham Hotel, St. Mary Street, Cardiff, commencing 18.00 hours.
There will be only one agenda item, covering two resolutions covering the current signaller's dispute in South Wales. The first resolution will seek to ratify the hardship payments payable to those Signallers on strike, and the second will ask the Union's National Executive to give urgent consideration to making turning the regional South Wales dispute into a national one by balloting all Network Rail signallers throughout the UK.

I am pleased to report that both resolutions were passed at the emergency meeting last night and have been forwarded to Unity House. I am also delighted to report that they will be considered by the General Grades Committee of the Union at their meeting on the 12th of January.
