A number of meetings are scheduled for March, as follows: -

On Thursday the 3rd of March a special meeting has been convened for ATW Guards and Conductors at the Sandringham Hotel (starting at 18.00) so that Brendan Kelly can give an overview of talks, latest position and the Sunday commitment issue in relation to the Guards and Conductors pay issue.  Brendan Kelly, Owen Herbert, and Steve Skelly will be there. It is an Executive consultation with the members, and as such is not a full Branch meeting, and the meeting will be unable to raise and ratify resolutions, etc. All Guards and Conductors should make every effort to attend, as this is your opportunity to pass on to your Executive member and Full Time Officer your thoughts and views on the talks and latest position.  Please note that this meeting is not restricted to Cardiff Rail Branch members, but is open to all Guards and Conductors employed by ATW, who are members of the RMT, regardless of which Branch they are a member of.

On Sunday the 6th of March another special meeting has been organised to decide which candidate and party, if indeed any, our Branch will support in the coming Welsh Assembly elections.  It is hoped that a number of prospective candidates will attend to tell Branch members how they will fight for the rights of the workers if they were to be elected, and why they think that they would be the best candidate for us to support.  This meeting will commence at 10.45, again at the Sandringham Hotel.

Wednesday the 9th of March is the monthly Branch meeting, at the Sandringham Hotel as always, commencing at 18.00.  There is much happening across the various sections of our industry at the moment, so please try and make the effort to attend and take an active part in the running of your trade union.
